KyCalc is a full-blown calculator app for Android. While it has all of the features users expect from a dedicated calculator app, that is not really its core purpose. KyCalc is actually a front for an app that lets you hide media. So, if you have media that you don’t want others seeing, you can keep it in KyCalc. The idea being that no one is going to think to check your calculator in order to snoop on you.

KyCalc supports most types of media, including photos, videos and documents. Even if it does not support a particular media type directly, the app can still store it. The app includes a file manager, which is also quite robust and lets you manage your collection. You can organize files into various folders as well as delete files, add new ones and so on and so forth.

The app also features an integrated multi-tab browser. This browser is surprisingly robust as well, and while it may not be quite as feature-rich as the top mobile browsers, it does compare favorably. You can use this browser to find the media that you want to enjoy and archive. The calculator app face is always just a swipe away, so it’s easy to keep your secrets from suddenly prying eyes.

A video downloader is also built into the app. You can access it from within the browser or directly. It can download videos from sites even when downloads are not offered. It helps to optimize downloads, and it even provides a queue so that you don’t have to wait for a file to finish before adding another.

KyCalc also supports wireless file transfers. It can transfer to or from a PC as well as other Android devices, and it can use whichever wireless options you have available: Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth. Wired transfers are also an option, but the goal here is to be fast and discrete.

So, what happens if someone is aware of KyCalc and knows where to look? Well, the app also includes military-grade file encryption. Encryption is completely optional. You can select particular files to be encrypted, or you can set your entire collection to be encrypted.

Real-time decryption is also an option. If you encrypt a video, for instance, you don’t have to wait for it to decrypt each time you want to watch it. The video will be decrypted as part of the process of streaming that video to the media player.
